This
complimentary pre-session consultation lets us get to know you
and your family, and helps us to envision the ideas that you
have for your portraits. We will talk about your family,
your home and decor, as well as go over clothing options and
let you know how to prepare for your session. We would
love to meet with you
In person at the
studio so you can see what we're all about, or speak with you
over the phone, or even chat via email.

- Sessions are available in our natural light studio (10:00 a.m.
until one hour before dusk, depending on the season) and outdoors
at our studio - OR - on-location at a destination
of your choice. If you are interested in on-location
sessions but don't have a specific place in mind, let us suggest
some of our favorite scenic locations.
-
Mini-Sessions
last approximately 20 minutes and Full-Sessions last
up to one hour.
Newborn sessions last up to two hours.
Please make every attempt to arrive on time.
If you are going to be late, please notify us and understand that
if there is an appointment scheduled after yours, this may shorten
your portrait session.
The pace of the session is dictated by the child, family or
pet. Some children are less outgoing than others, so it may
take a little longer for them to warm-up. There is ALWAYS
time for a break, a snack or feeding and clothing changes.
Our clients have access to our kitchen for heating up a bottle,
or other private areas for quiet feeding time. Our sessions are relaxed and casual, but most importantly FUN!
I have several clients who tell me after leaving the studio that
their little one wants to know when they can come back to "play"
or that they had SO MUCH FUN that they can't wait to come back!
- Our
sessions are shot in a "documentary" style, meaning while we
may do some "light" posing or directing, we prefer to watch
your child, interact with them and document their true
personality - those moments and giggles that you want to hold
on to forever. Being parents ourselves, we realize how
fast little ones grow up...and we want to capture these
moments for you - naturally!
- Please understand that it is not
necessary for a child to show a toothy smile for every image!
Some of the most soulful images are captured when children are NOT
smiling and their eyes are at their fullest.
I
enjoy capturing personalities as they really are, whether it be silly,
sassy or just plain ornery. I
love the expressions I am able to capture – from bright eyes and big
smiles to sad little pouts.
- If your child is feeling under the weather,
we do ask that you call the studio to reschedule your session.
Through our experience, we have
learned that even the happiest of children can get thrown for a
loop if they are feeling miserable.
And feeling miserable, no matter what
age, will reflect in your portraits.
- Please take into
consideration your child's nap time and bed time (evening
sessions) when booking your session. Most children do best
late morning to early afternoon, and will become fussy and
non-cooperative when they are tired (just like adults!).
It also helps to feed them prior to their session, or
bring along a favorite snack just-in-case.

Our business hours are
Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 5:00pm and Weekends by Appointment
only. We do offer evening
sessions in summer and fall after 5:00pm.
All of our sessions, consultations, ordering and pick-ups are by
appointment only - this means no waiting in line and no rushed
sessions, thus I can give you and your family my undivided attention. I prefer to personally meet with each client to
address you and your family's individual needs.

Most of our clients plan to invest between
$300-$600 on the creation of their portraits.
Please keep in mind that every
client's needs are different, while some may invest more, some may
invest less.
After your session is complete, we will schedule a viewing
and ordering appointment for you.
This appointment helps us to address
the individual needs of your family.
During your ordering appointment, you
will be offered refreshments and once you are comfortable, your
images will be projected larger than life!
We will help you with the complete
ordering process, answer any questions you may have about prints
or products, show you samples of products and help you to make
final decisions on the best images to adorn your home
with.
This is the most fun part of your
portrait creation, so feel free to bring along family & friends!
Please come prepared and make sure all decision makers are
present. Children are always welcome.
